Passover service at a secular Jewish family in the Australian suburb of Bondi. The eldest son Jacob, 18 yrs, is late. The Passover service begins without him. Just after they begin Jacob arrives completely naked, and without uttering a word, sits down at the table and stays silent. Over the next half-an-hour the various family members interpret his gesture. Dark farce, six actors. Half an hour long.
Sydney Bulletin
‘Feast is bright, sharply observed comedy, but Learner also mines the drama which lurks below the surface of Aaron and Ruth’s unsatisfying marriage’.
