About the play

Set in a room in a boarding house in Sydney, Australia between 1948 and 2008, it tracks the haunting of the ghost of Abraham, a Jewish Polish war refugee caught in limbo, and his cat Elijah, as they witness six acts of love executed in the one room (The first act of love – To release, is the assisted suicide of Abraham himself), poignant comedy (5/7 actors).

‘Learner’s play is entertaining and appealing, mostly for the variegated acts of love…There is much scope for subtly comedic social history… … wonderful performances and the necessary delicate balance of comedy and drama.’ – Stephen Dunne, The Sydney Morning Herald
